Awesome Travel Destinations on 5 Continents

The invention of air travel has made the world a smaller place, in a sense – you can visit locations today that people in the past could never have dreamed of visiting. Even in cases where adventure and the need for resources beckoned; year-long ship rides were common for traversing the seas between continents.

Today, airplane travel is very common. In fact, with a private jet charter membership, you can maximize your experience in the air in ways that even first class on public jets cannot. If you’re traveling to any of the awesome vacation spots this season, consider traveling in style and comfort by going the private jet route.

1. Rio De Janeiro, Brazil – South America

Often known as simply “Rio”, this Brazilian destination spot is also called Marvelous City by the locals. It is, essentially, Brazil’s crown jewel – tens of millions of tourists flock to its eggshell-white sandy beaches and crystal-blue seas every year.

The rainforest vegetation is positively breathtaking and framed by a backdrop of verdant mountains. You’ve no doubt heard a few songs about the wonderful time you’d have in one of its bairros – Copacabana. US Travel News ranks Rio as the flat-out best place to visit in the region – and that’s saying something.

2. No Place Like Home – North America

You really don’t have to leave the country if all you’re looking for is a great time. North America is home to both the US and Canada, and they collectively probably have the most awesome travel spots out of all the continents.

If you crave for some hustle and bustle; combined with an immersive historical experience, then New York is the place to go. Manhattan alone has enough art, science, shopping and diverse eating to satiate your appetite for weeks.

Across the country on the West Coast, you can visit Tinseltown in Los Angeles, CA during the night, and visit the incomparably blue Pacific during the day time. Yellowstone National Park is up north in California, and the majestic Grand Canyon is next door in the state of Arizona.

3. Kenya, Botswana or South Africa – Africa

If you’re really adventurous, you can hop on a jet and head to the Motherland – it’s as close to nature as you can get without actually being a field researcher, yourself. The Masai Mara is a lovely safari destination; Kruger National Park is even larger and has each one of the Big 5 animals for which Africa is renowned.

You’ll find the lion, buffalo, elephant, rhino and leopard. They are so named because of the extreme difficulty that even experienced hunters have in tracking them down while on foot. You’ll enjoy the convenience of air-conditioned hotels and lodges while on a break from going out on trucks to view the wildlife in its natural habitat.

4. Florence, Italy – Europe

The birthplace of the Renaissance, Florence is a one-of-a-kind city for the art enthusiasts and hopeless romantics. It’s surpassed only by Paris for the latter. Michelangelo’s greatest architectural works are well-represented in the churches of San Lorenzo, Santa Croce and Santa Maria Novella.

Wander outside to taste of Florence’s gelato treats when you’re weary of browsing the museums. The Florence nightlife is grand though expensive, with wineries on every block and delicious food you won’t likely find in the States.

5. The Land Down Under – Australia

You can’t go wrong by visiting any of Australia’s largest cities. The Opera House in Sydney, the Botanic Gardens in Melbourne and the Great Barrier Reef gateway in Cairns are just some of the awesome vacation destinations.

If you want the true Outback experience, then head to Uluru in the Northern Territory. You can rent a camel to get to this mystic rock in the red lands, where there’s a resort for those staying a bit longer than a day.

Nowadays, with transportation options so numerous, there isn’t a place in the world that’s not within your grasp. There’s a mantra held  by some private jet companies: “it’s not about the destination, it’s about the journey.” We think it’s a good outlook for future travelers to espouse, given the exceptional comfort and efficiency of private jet travel.
