How to Maintain Gut Health While Traveling – Tips from a World Traveler

As a travel host who appears on-camera several times per week to showcase the people, culture, natural beauty, history, and culinary scene of fascinating places around the world, I need to feel my best so I can explore these locations, learn about them through conversations with locals, and share the information I’ve learned with my viewers in a way that comes across as confident, comfortable, and entertaining on-camera. In order to look confident and comfortable on-screen, you have to feel confident and comfortable. And that’s the feeling I get when I know my body is benefiting from a quality product that aims to support my digestive health.

Over the last several years, much, if not all, of this information about probiotics has become common knowledge, and in response, the market has been inundated with naturally probiotic-rich foods and longtime favorites like yogurt, sauerkraut, kimchi, and other fermented dishes that have been rebranded to tout their digestive benefits. Beneficial bacteria have even been added to foods that don’t naturally contain them like granola bars, tortilla chips, bottled smoothies, baking mixes, nuts and seeds, and even some types of breakfast cereal. And, of course, you can’t walk the health aisles of your local grocery store without coming across shelves stocked with dozens of dietary supplements that claim to contain millions, and sometimes even billions, of probiotics.

Unfortunately, many probiotics don’t survive the stomach’s environment. So, that begs the question: is there any product available on the market today that you can trust to keep its probiotics alive as they travel through your digestive system? Yes, such a product does exist. It’s called Digestive Advantage.

The goal of the Digestive Advantage line of products is simple: they want to help people support their long-term digestive health. Digestive Advantage’s products also cater to people who have specific digestive needs. Their extensive line of probiotic products includes capsules and gummies that contain four specially-targeted formulas that address specific digestive problems.

But the thing that makes Digestive Advantage products stand out among other probiotic supplement brands and probiotic-rich foods is that their beneficial bacteria are encased in a natural protein shell. This protein shell is the key to the efficacy of Digestive Advantage’s products, as it survives the harsh, acidic environment of your stomach, which keeps the probiotics inside it safe. In fact, Digestive Advantage probiotics survive 100 times better than other probiotics because of this shell.

But how do Digestive Advantage’s gummies and capsules compare to other products containing probiotics? Two gummies survive better than 10+ bowls of the leading brand of cereal, based on probiotic survivability testing vs leading cereal brands* (or 8+ cups of the leading brands of yogurt if doing yogurt or 10 cups of the leading brands of juice). You heard that correctly. Even better, one single Digestive Advantage capsule will safely deliver more probiotics to your intestinal tract than 8+ cups of the leading yogurt or 10+ bowls of cereal. That means that, with Digestive Advantage, you don’t have to worry about all of the excess sugar, fat, and preservatives that would go along with downing such a massive amount of yogurt or cereal.

Just to see how much yogurt I would have to eat in order to ingest the number of probiotics in one Digestive Advantage capsule, I filled a large bowl with eight cups of yogurt and attempted to eat it all. Suffice it to say, it did not go well. Ten spoonfuls in, I had barely made a dent in it and was already starting to feel full. On the other hand, taking one Digestive Advantage capsule with a sip of water is a much more efficient, convenient, and reasonable option. It can be taken on the go and is the perfect option for those who lead busy, fast-paced lives. In addition to Digestive Advantage being a much better choice for people who are lactose intolerant or have to be on a low-fat diet, taking two gummies or one capsule per day is much more cost effective, since you’ll likely spend less money on other probiotic-rich foods and will be able to have more variety in your diet as a result.

After personally experiencing the benefits of Digestive Advantage, I’m planning on continuing my daily capsule regimen for the foreseeable future. I will also take their probiotic capsules with me on all of my trips from now on, including my trip to northeast India in March of 2019. That way, I’ll have a quick, easy, and potent way to support my digestive health right in my suitcase. If you’re someone who leads a busy life and wants to do something good for your body, I highly recommend Digestive Advantage. Just take one capsule, or two gummies, every day and let the probiotics inside work their magic. Trust me, your gut will thank you.
