On February 29, 2012 I reached by 500th city- San Miguel, El Salvador. I was pinning my map and realized that I finally had made one of my long-time goals a reality!
I wouldn’t travel the way I do if I didn’t think travel experiences were meant to be shared with and by all of us. My goal is to travel blog/ vlog until I have visited every country on Earth. I have loved my job, focusing on one country at a time in order to explore all that this world has to offer. I have shared so many of my adventures and unforgettable moments with you, and you have reciprocated in so many incredible ways with your posts, pictures, and words of encouragement and advice.
Traveling isn’t always fun and games. It takes a serious (some say crazy) drive to stay away from home as long as it takes to get the job done. It also takes incredibly motivating people in one’s life like my amazing parents, brother, and sister. Without their encouragement and support, Davidsbeenhere.com wouldn’t be meaningful, much less possible. And I would also like to thank my fiancé, Ana. She is the reason I do what I do, and I am so excited to get our life together started! And I absolutely couldn’t have accomplished this feat without my partner, Carlos de Varona. I thank him for traveling with me non-stop for 2 unforgetteble years. Those memories will last a lifetime and I can’t wait for the world to see his incredible documentary films and photographs. And a huge thanks to all of my friends; the long-distance friendships, innumerable Cuban coffee breaks, and for their unyielding belief in me.
I strive each day to make trip planning and traveling easier and better for all of you. I want to provide you with quality travel products and more importantly, show you the world, city by city, because I believe (and always have) that traveling changes us to the core.
