I recently traveled to Finland and Latvia, but before I left I was looking for an all weather backpack that would withstand the subzero temperatures I would have to brave. I typically travel with a backpack for my laptop and camera equipment. Plus, it’s just easier to move around airports with a backpack and a small carry-on. For over a decade I have been a huge fan of the Victorinox Swiss Army brand. They are the original creators of the Swiss Army Knife and now they also make stylish and durable travel gear and luggage.
I opted for the Rath Slim Backpack for the trip and it did not disappoint! I can say it’s the perfect all weather backpack for someone who traveled as frequently as I do. With 7 pockets, there is room to fit a 17” laptop, camera body and lenses, passport wallet, and some other personal items. The water-repellent zippers saved me in the Finnish countryside, as well as in rainy Helsinki. Basically, it’s ideal snowy and rainy weather.
I took my Rath Slim Backpack to Finland, Latvia, and Ireland. I loaded it up with gear but never felt an annoying backache that I’ve gotten with other backpacks, which means the weight gets evenly distributed and that’s a plus! I got a lot of compliments on the backpack, particularly from other photographers who are looking for a more stylish alternative to the boring camera bags you see out there. Overall, I highly recommend the Roth Slim as an all-weather backpack.
I partnered with Victorinox for this trip. All opinions are my own.
