Hangover Mexican Street Food Breakfast of Champions | Mexico City, Mexico

I’m sure you all know the feeling of a massive hangover, right? In my opinion, the best way to cure one is with some tasty street food in Mexico City! Come along with me as I enjoy hangover Mexican Street food and have a breakfast of champions on my last morning in Mexico City, Mexico!

On my last morning in Mexico City, I woke up with a terrible hangover after a wild, mezcal-filled night with my good travel friends Larissa from the Blonde Gypsy and Mike Corey from Fearless & Far. I wanted to sober up a bit before my flight in a few hours, so I decided to go outside and eat some amazing Mexican street food for breakfast. There were two street vendors not far from my Airbnb, so I couldn’t pass them up!

They offered quite a few delicious-looking options, but in the end, I opted for a tlacoyo, a gordita, a quesadilla, and a Vampiro vegetable juice. The tlaycoyo and gordita really hit the spot! I also loved the quesadilla. Did you know that, while queso (cheese) is a staple in Tex-Mex quesadillas, a true Mexican quesadilla doesn’t necessarily have to contain cheese?

After finishing my food, I still felt a bit hungover, so I downed the rest of my vegetable juice. This was the perfect food to end my trip. It was so yummy! Then, with my adventures in Mexico City officially at an end, I made the journey back to the airport and headed back home to Miami.
