Why CBD Is a Traveler’s Best Friend

When traveling, you often encounter negative experiences. The bad bits are not enough to take away from the incredible people you meet, the views you take in, and the memories you make. However, the anxiety and stress that come with planning, packing, and navigating unexpected obstacles are hard to forget. Furthermore, adventures can sometimes lead to injuries and pain, which only hinders you from exploring everything else you have on your list. Not to mention that walking through cities all day to take in the sights can take a toll on your poor feet!

Now that CBD has become so popular, many travelers are finding that they can’t live without it in their suitcase. Products like the Premium Jane CBD oil are a perfect addition to any toiletry bag, and in this post, I will explain why.

Here’s why I believe CBD to be a traveler’s best friend.

Why Do People Use CBD?

There are lots of reasons why people use CBD. The list includes things like pain and anxiety, among other things. Here is how it could help the seasoned traveler:

  • Pain: Whether you’re on a city walking tour or a mountain hike, explorers often encounter pain. Mild aches, muscular soreness, and painful feet are common afflictions that are irritating rather than serious. According to research, such as this 2018 study, CBD topicals can provide effective relief for mild inflammation and aches.
  • Anxiety and stress: Even experienced, confident travelers can sometimes experience stress. Delayed flights are no fault of your own, and yet they are frustrating and stressful. Similarly, even the best of us sometimes worry about what we forgot to pack! Anxiety is a common reason to take CBD, with a 2015 review finding that the compound may help with a variety of disorders. Anecdotally, many celebrities find that using CBD helps to calm their nerves.
  • Insomnia: Late night traveling and jet lag are a severe problem for any jet-setter. Sleep is one of the more researched areas of CBD, and numerous studies suggest that using capsules and gummies that contain CBD and melatonin can help you drift off. As such, these products are a must-have in your overnight bag.

Traveling with CBD: Everything You Need to Know

For many people, the question remains: are you allowed to travel with CBD? The fact remains that not all countries are as open to CBD as the USA. And even if they are, there are often different guidelines for how much THC a product may contain and where the hemp must come from.

As a result, it’s best to avoid taking CBD overseas at all costs. There remains a slim chance that you will be stopped at the airport, and depending on the country, the punishment can vary from a slap on the wrist to literal jail time.

Within the USA, however, you may be able to take CBD with you. The Transport Security Administration (TSA) recently updated its guidelines to say that You can take on CBD products containing no more than 0.3% THC on a plane. The guidelines also permit FDA-approved products; only one exists right now, and that is Epidiolex.

TSA checkpoints do not explicitly check for CBD and marijuana products, but there may be an investigation in the event that one is found. Whether you take that risk or not is up to you.

As for driving, you’re likely to be fine taking CBD across state lines. It’s unlikely that anybody will notice, after all. That said, you should always check the laws of the state you are traveling to before embarking on your CBD journey.

The Best CBD Products for Travelers

There are many CBD consumption methods that you can choose. Tinctures are very common and allow you to benefit from the whole-body effects of CBD. However, you may be worried about the oil leaking in your bag and causing a mess. Aside from wrapping the tincture bottle in a plastic bag, you can also use other products that don’t present this risk.

A CBD topical, such as a balm or ointment, is ideal for any traveler who plans on using CBD as a painkiller or beauty treatment. It’s less likely to leak and is easy to use and carry with you. Many brands sell travel-size bottles.

Capsules and gummies are other fantastic options. These products will not leak at all, and they provide a simple, pre-measured amount of CBD that will save you a lot of time and mess. Many capsules and gummies contain added ingredients like melatonin that can help you achieve a specific purpose.
