How to Maintain Gut Health While Traveling | Tips from a World Traveler

As a travel host, I have visited dozens of countries and over a thousand cities around the world, from India to Guatemala, from Dubrovnik to Manila. It’s my dream job, and I know how fortunate I am that I get to make a living doing what I love. But it doesn’t come without its risks, which include occasional digestive illnesses, which can crop up out of nowhere after drinking questionable water or eating food made in unsanitary conditions. Here are my tips on how to maintain gut health while traveling.

My job requires me to look confident and comfortable on-camera at all times. The best way to look confident and comfortable is to feel confident and comfortable. Seriously, wash your hands before you eat anything and you can cut back on the probability of you getting sick. Carry hand sanitizer with you just in case you don’t have access to soap and water. And buy travel insurance! It’s not an unnecessary travel expense. It can really help you out a lot if you get sick while traveling and need to get medical attention.
