Georgia

Welcome to the Georgia hub at David’s Been Here! In July of 2021, I traveled to this incredible country in the Caucasus region at the crossroads of Eastern Europe and Western Asia. The people of the Caucasus region are known for their incredible warmth, friendliness, and hospitality, and they were all on full display during my eleven days on the ground.

My road trip began in Georgia’s gorgeous historical capital, Tbilisi. In fact, it was there that I got my first taste of Georgia’s diverse cuisine. Then, I left Tbilisi and began a week-long road trip that took me deep into Kakheti (the Georgian wine country), Telavi, Kasbegi, Ateni, Gori, Kutaisi, Obcha, Ozurgeti, and finally, the city of Batumi on the Black Sea coast.

Georgia has a deep and fascinating history. That, in addition to its cuisine, solidified the country as a top-tier travel destination. From the meats and wines of Signagi and Kakheti to the fresh seafood and cheesy Adjarian cuisine in Batumi, I was in food heaven for a week and a half!

Below are all of my written Georgia travel guides and Georgia travel episodes. On the right, you can also navigate by city if you prefer. I hope you find them entertaining and that they help you plan your trip to Georgia!

My trip would not have been possible without my friends at Travel Tbilisi and Friendly.GE. Both built packed itineraries designed with me and my interests in mind. Working with them was a dream. Reach out to them to start building your own personalized Georgia itinerary!
