Kenya is a beautiful, vibrant, culturally diverse country in East Africa. Known for its stunning natural beauty and breathtaking landscapes, Kenya is a haven for adventure seekers and wildlife enthusiasts.

From the iconic Maasai Mara National Park to Nairobi National Park, the country is the perfect place to observe majestic African animals, including lions, zebras, giraffes, elephants, water buffalo, and much more.

With a population of over 50 million people, Kenya is a melting pot of different ethnic groups, from indigenous to Indian, each contributing to the country’s diverse traditions, music, and cuisine.

In Maasai Mara, you can meet members of the famous Maasai tribe, a pastoral people originally from what is now South Sudan. A world away from the savannahs of Maasai Mara is Nairobi, the bustling capital city that showcases the country’s modern side with its skyscrapers, shopping malls, and vibrant nightlife.

I spent over a week traveling through Kenya with Kumbukumbu Tours in November 2022, and met joyful, welcoming, and kind-hearted people every step of the way. It wasn’t the easiest trip, but was easily one of the most rewarding. Between embracing Maasai culture, eating some of the best grilled meat of my life, and getting to see lions up close, it was a magical trip I’ll never forget.
