Choosing a destination can be quite an overwhelming task–there are just so many incredible destinations to choose from. And that’s where I come in! I’m a honeymoon expert, I’ve been scouring the globe for honeymoon-worthy locales. Whether you’re looking for adventure, relaxation, luxuriating, or a mix of it all, I’ve picked some of the hottest honeymoon destinations right now.
Those who really know the Caribbean know that Nevis is one of the most beautiful islands it has to offer–plus it isn’t packed with tourists (yet). This is the perfect island for your honeymoon if you are looking for charm, luxury and to feel away from it all. There are tons of opportunities to be active like diving, windsurfing, hiking and more. There is also a dormant volcano. Hike around here to find gorgeous flowers and even possibly some monkeys. Take an evening fishing expedition where you can catch your own dinner. And once you’ve had your fill of excitement, settle down and take in the sunset in solitude with a tropical drink and your sweetie.

If you’re looking for somewhere exotic with plenty of romance and relaxation, Thailand is the place for you. Skip Bangkok, and head North to Chiang Mai (nicknamed the ‘Rose of the North’). Here you can explore countless temples, enjoy incredible cuisine, interact up-close with elephants and tigers, and experience an expert massage at some of the finest spas in the world. The nightlife in Chiang Mai is quite a scene as well. Be sure to visit the Chiang Mai Night Bazaar, which is one of the best in the country. There is a little bit of something for every taste here.

Hawaii is perhaps the most quintessential honeymoon destination in the world, and with good reason! Rainbows occur here on a daily basis, the weather is nearly always perfect, and there are endless lush green valleys, volcanoes and scenic drives. While you’re in town you must take the time to cruise on Hana Highway, which is perhaps the most thrilling coastal drive in the world. Maui is also home to an incredibly sophisticated dining scene. And we know it’s a little cheesy, but don’t miss your chance to attend a Luau.

For adventurous couples, South Africa is a popular destination right now. With rugged landscapes at every turn, secluded beaches, and countless wildlife preserves, you won’t be bored here for a moment. The highlight of your trip and possibly your life is likely to be a safari in Kruger National Park. South Africa is also home to a blossoming (and inexpensive) wine region.
Where to Stay: One and Only Cape Town
Buenos Aires is the ideal blend of South-American culture and European sophistication (for a fraction of the cost). The city is over-the-top romantic, which is perhaps why it was nicknamed the “Paris of South America.” Buenos Aires truly comes alive at night (though not before 9 PM), and you’ll find some of the world’s best grilled meats, finest Malbec wines (from Mendoza, Argentina), and a thriving nightlife with tangos and dance clubs. If you’re into sports be sure to attend a football match while you’re in town.
