Touring the Bassin de l’Agdal in Meknes, Morocco

David’s Been Here is in the Moroccan city of Meknes, touring around all the top tourist and local sites of the area. In this short video, David heads to the Bassin de l’Agdal. Created in the early 1800’s by the Sultan Moulay Ismail, this manmade lake was initially created for recreational purposes for the Sultan’s court. Today locals enjoy the area for its beautiful surroundings and even for a quick swim (though it’s illegal). Head to this serene spot in Meknes for a relaxing day and glimpse into the royal history of the city. Production by Carlos de Varona from Chromahouse
