When I’m at home in Miami between trips, I love showcasing the local food scene. Miami is such an amazing food city and it’s something lots of people are starting to notice. In particular, Miami is a melting pot of Latin cultures and cuisines, including Colombian, Venezuelan, and Cuban. I recently took my friends Eric and Allison from The Endless Adventure on an epic Cuban food feast at Versailles, the most famous Cuban restaurant in Miami and the world! Come along with us as we take a huge dive into the Cuban food culture in Miami, Florida!
We started our Cuban food feast at the iconic Versailles, where we tried a bunch of different dishes. From the tender and flavorful ropa vieja, to the amazing medianoche to the crispy croquetas, everything was so fire! We finished up with some incredible flan, which is a Latin American custard dessert that’s bursting with caramel flavor. Of course, we had to finish up there with my favorite, some authentic Cuban coffee!
From there we drove over to Wynwood Brewery, the first craft brewery to be established in Miami. There, we each enjoyed a flight of their delicious beers. Though they’re all fantastic, my favorites were definitely the Pops Porter and the Grampa Porter. The Grampa Porter is barrel-aged in bourbon barrels!
Next, we headed through the Wynwood Arts District to Box Elder, the first craft beer market in Miami. There I tried a Triple IPA from Dog Fish Brewing that has 17% alcohol. That is one strong beer! You have to be careful with that one! While we were there, Eric and Allison tried a few other delicious beers as well.
Have you ever tried Cuban food before? Or Miami Craft Beers? They’re all something you must try when you come to Miami!
