I headed over to Hair Emporium, a barbershop in my hometown of South Miami, to get a haircut from my boy Dani, who has been cutting my hair for at least six years now. I get a lot of comments asking me to do more haircut videos since three of my Indian haircut videos went viral, so I decided to start with my home base!

Haircuts here cost $25 USD, plus a tip. Most people tip $5, but I do $10. I always like to switch up my haircuts. Sometimes I get a mohawk, other times I get a fade. This time, I was going with a high fade. I always fall asleep during my haircuts. They’re so relaxing! I stop thinking and it puts me in a trance.

Dani does them really well and he blends the high fade with my beard. I wanted to look good on Thanksgiving in a few days. It’s super hot in Miami, so people like to get fades. The less hair you have, the cooler you feel.

Every time Dani does a shave or cleans the back of your head, he changes the blade. He learned to cut using a balloon. I loved him cutting my hair with an electric razor rather than scissors. It feels better against your skin!

Hair Emporium is open 7 days a week, but Dani is the only one there on Mondays. After he did my hair, he started blending it with my beard. I felt completely different!

Then Dani spread shaving cream on the back of my neck to get rid of the extra hair back there. We were basically done, but then we washed my hair, too. A wash costs an extra $5. Him washing my hair and massaging my scalp felt so good! There’s nothing like a haircut with a massage!

Then he added conditioner and rinsed my hair, then dried it. We finished up with the strongest holding hair wax, which made my hair look darker. And then we were done!
