How did your passion for travel get started?

I, Mansoureh, can’t give you an exact date, because as long as I remember I always wanted to see the world. I used to travel with my parents when I was a child, then when I was 17, I started travelling alone or with friends and I have never stopped travelling.

I, Bruno, always wanted to experience living in another country, so I moved to the UK, I met Mansoureh and since then I started travelling and I began to love this new lifestyle.

What does travel mean to you? Why do you feel it’s important?

We think by travelling we can learn some lessons that you won’t learn by reading books or watching movies. Seeing different cultures, people and landscape makes us realise how little we know about the world we live in. We believe if more people travel, peace and happiness would take over racism and discrimination.

You run a travel blog called Travel with Mansoureh. Can you please tell us a bit about it? How did it come about and what makes it different from other travel content out there?

Our travel blog started just like a normal blog to keep our diary, then step by step we found out we have some audience who love to know more about us and our trips. So, we started writing more and sharing more on our blog and our YouTube channel. When we saw our story inspired others to travel or our advice helped others to plan their trip, we committed to sharing more information and details on our platforms. Our blog and YouTube channel are more about adventure and unique places and experiences. Every blogger or better to say everyone on this planet has a unique story. We are no exception, that is why our blog is about our own unique stories.

The two of you met in London. What do you suggest people do in London when they visit?

Yes, we met in London and now we call London “our home”. London is a great city where you can find people from all over the world. You never feel alone. London is where you can try various cuisines, so when you are in London don’t stay only in touristy places, go to different parts, the north, the south, the west and the east. You see how the environment in these areas is different.

Mansoureh, you have a master’s degree in tourism and work as a writer and journalist, and Bruno, you’re a software engineer and tech advocate. How have those skills benefited your work as travel bloggers?

We work as a team. My master degree and journalism skills help me to write blog posts or scripts of a video and create content. Bruno is great with technical stuff. He coded our website and he takes care of all the technical issues. We have different skills which help us to keep going.

How many days/weeks do you travel in any given year? What types of places do you like to visit?

We use any opportunity to travel. Sometimes we can only go for a day trip or weekend break but sometimes we go for a two-week trip in a month. We never counted the days we are away. We enjoy spending time in nature and exploring hidden gems.

What do you want audiences to gain and learn from your work?

During our trips, we face many challenges and we push ourselves out of our comfort zone. We try to overcome our fears and we share these experiences with our audience. In general,  we want to spread positive messages on our platforms and we want to show our audience that if we can, they can do the same.

What are the top three destinations you’ve visited?

It is really hard to pick a few favourite destinations because we love many places we have been to. But I would say we would like to go back again and again to Italy, Turkey and Thailand.

Give us your ‘Top 5’ list for one of your top 3 destinations. Like a mini-guide or a to-do list of sorts. It can be anything from your favorite hotel, the best place to have lunch, the best sightseeing, etc.

In Italy we would like to go to the north-west and hike in the Italian Alps, one of our favourite places is Gran Paradiso National Park near the France border. Temples of Humankind of Damanhur is another unique place in the north of Italy, where we also had the best Pizza. We also love going to ski in the Valle d’Aosta region.

We love Istanbul in Turkey and our favourite Turkish city is Istanbul. We like the fact that you can go to Istiklal Street at any time during the night and find all the shops and restaurants open. Having breakfast in Karaköy area and travelling by ferry from the Asian side to the European side are the must when you are in Istanbul.

Van is another small city we would like to go back to. The city is in the east of Turkey and it is next to the beautiful lake of Van.

Thailand is where we started our scuba diving journey. Going to the Phi Phi Island for scuba diving or snorkelling is a must when you are in Phuket. Chiang Mai with its 100 temples is one of our favourite places on the earth. Make sure when you are in Bangkok you book a hotel with a rooftop swimming pool where you have a chance to swim during the night.

How many countries have you visited so far?

I, Mansoureh, have visited 33 countries, Bruno has visited 29 countries. We visited some of the countries more than once.
