Since before I bungee jumped in Costa Rica in 2009, I’ve been dreaming of sky diving. It’s been on my to-do list for quite a long time, so I was very excited when I found out it was a planned activity on my itinerary for my recent press trip through Costa Brava in Spain. Empuriabrava is the largest skydiving center in Europe, so I thought to myself, “why not?”
My long-time friend and business partner, Carlos de Varona, accompanied me on what is definitely one of my top travel moments to date. We finally took the plunge and the rest is history. Here is my story of Skydiving in Costa Brava!

Getting ready for take-off. Nervous laughter ensuing.
Excited but nervous as hell.
Costa Brava from above.
Cap de Creus will be our view for this dive.
Here we go!
And out I go.
These first five seconds of free fall are the most intense!
Drag shoot out, from here it’s smooth sailing.
Back on land in one piece.
Carlos also took the leap of faith with me.
Just look how thrilled he looks.
The marina of Empuriabrava.
And he’s back!
