Roman Villa Rustica in Mogorejlo, Bosnia & Herzegovina

The site is mostly in ruins, but it has an interesting history. It served as a military base in early 4^th century and is the largest excavated Roman site in Herzegovina. Its location is no accident – the Romans strategically chose is for being at the intersection of four rivers. That is what made Mogorejlo the perfect place trade outpost.

Next door to the ruins of Mogorejlo is the restaurant Villa Rustics, where David and Sasha have a delicious lunch paired with local Herzegovina wine.
